Medical Malpractice Lawsuits

Medical malpractice occurs when doctors, hospitals, pharmacists or other health-care professionals injure a patient by providing care that is below the acceptable standard.   A wide variety of situations may result in a medical malpractice claim, including failure of the medical professional to properly diagnose, improper treatment, and failure to warn of known risks. Litigation involving medical malpractice is complex, expensive and time-consuming, and many states limit the amount of money that can be awarded to a medical malpractice patient.
